How We Provide Care:

Dog Daycare

Dog daycare is a great way to have your dog play and learn to socialize. We offer extensive dog daycare hours (12-hours). We offer dog daycare Monday through Friday 7am-7pm. We are not your average doggy daycare. We are the only dog daycare that walks dogs in our daycare outdoors every few hours, unlike most dog daycares that leave your dog stuck inside all day long. We develop a bond with your dog to help them feel comfortable and confident. With regular attendance, we get to know your dog’s personality, needs, and preferences. We are better able to recognize things that might otherwise go unnoticed, like moods, behavioral changes, or even health issues.

You can always feel safe leaving your dog at Pondside.

We provide every dog with:

Play, Exercise, and Socialization – Exercise helps your dog maintain a healthy weight and muscle tone. It helps to improve their mood and provide a healthy outlet for their physical and mental energy. This means they can be more relaxed at home. Positive experiences with new humans, new dogs, and new environments help create happy dogs who are well-rounded and well-socialized. We offer both small and large playgroups both indoor and outdoor play areas where your dog can enjoy the social environment that’s right for their age, personality, and comfort level.

Learning – Dogs learn from humans and other dogs – along with our guidance, dogs are always teaching each other what is and isn’t appropriate social behavior. Our staff use positive training techniques to promote basic obedience safe play and help your dog practice healthy social behaviors, while at day care.

Rest – Scheduled nap times to provide an opportunity to rest, relax, and recharge is vital for their physical, mental, and emotional health. Our daily schedule aims to help dogs avoid unhealthy overstimulation and achieve the right balance of rest, play, and learning.

** DOGGIE DAYCARE REMINDERS**

All doggie daycare guests are required to show proof of current Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella vaccines (MA – a six month booster must be administered).

We require all dogs seven (7) months and older to be spayed or neutered in order to participate in our doggie daycare program.

Pondside understands that the age at which unaltered/intact dogs begin to display behavior changes as they develop and mature into adulthood varies. For this reason, Pondside may allow unaltered/intact dogs over the age of (7) months in our daycare program. Having unaltered guests in daycare not only risks pregnancy but also increases the risk of injury. This is due to guests projecting different hormones and behaviors that may alter the dynamic of how dogs interact with one another, effecting the overall safety of our playgroups.

We respect your decision to keep your dog unaltered/intact. Pondside will require a note from your veterinarian stating when your pet is expected to be spayed or neutered, in order to participate in our daycare program. Pondside may remove dogs from daycare at Pondside sole discretion if at any point there is a concern or behavior issue due to your pet remaining unaltered/intact, with or without a note attained from your veterinarian.

To ensure a safe environment for all guests participating in our daycare program, Pondside will not accept unaltered/intact guests over the age of (14) fourteen months.

For everyone’s safety each dog in daycare is required to have a flat-buckle collar with identification (either an engraved tag or embroidered). Custom embroidered collars may be ordered with our Client Care Team.

We offer both full and half day daycare packages. Please see your location’s rate sheet for pricing details. All packages expire one year from purchase.

Optional meals are included in our daycare rate. Please bring your dog’s meal pre-measured in a Ziploc bag or plastic container with a tightly sealed lid with your dog’s name written clearly on the outside.

All flea/tick collars, harnesses, air tags, sweaters/coats, boots, flowers and bow-ties will be removed upon arrival to Doggie Daycare. Pondsideis not responsible for any lost items that were brought to daycare.

Our story

Pondside was founded in 2013 with the mission of creating one of the safest dog daycare & training facilities in the Boston area.

Dissatisfied with the level of professionalism and transparency within the local dog care community, Tammy focused on developing a daycare care program that gives your dog a place to play and learn in a safe and loving environment. With proper socialization, mental stimulation, and physical exercise, your dogs will stay healthy and happy for a lifetime.

Her focus on canine enrichment aims to enhance your dog’s overall quality of life. Through fun and rewarding activities that encourage them to use their senses to problem solve, learn new skills, and gain confidence. You can have peace of mind knowing that your dog is having a great day with all of their friends. Enrichment Dog Day Care is our specialty, and nobody does it quite like us.

While we pride ourselves on the extensive measures we take to ensure your dog’s safety, things do happen. If your dog becomes injured or ill while in our care, rest assured that we have the best vet in town on call. When necessary, Dr. Jake Tedaldi ( Vetcall.com) is available to visit your dog here at Pondside. Jake works closely with our staff to provide detailed instructions about your dogs care for the remainder of their stay. We’re also happy to be able to provide periodic vaccination clinics and health seminars throughout the year.
